Riverfront Medical Phase II

St. George, UT

The second phase of the successful Riverfront Medical Center has again pushed the envelope of tilt-up’s architectural appeal, energy efficiency, and long-term cost benefit. Mimicking the first three-story building, this phase adds a touch more design flare, more glass, and a complex applied surgical space. The deliberate clarity and simplicity of the site design and building layout allows for easy patient circulation throughout the campus. The building is the second of three to be built at the Riverside location and will expand the wide range of care available in the St. George region.

The medical features extended joint concrete floors, exposed architectural concrete with varied sandblasted and integral coloring. Riverfront Medical Center used integrally colored concrete, which incorporates color into the wet mix, eliminates the need for paint and increases its durability. The exposed architectural tilt-up seems organic in the desert region and offers virtually no maintenance. The exceptional architectural quality of the tilt-up wall panels is featured as part of the interior design as well. The reduced joint concrete floors add to the elegant durability of the building.
